On a crisp Saturday morning, the Beaudesert Showgrounds came alive with excitement as the Beaudesert
Show Society proudly introduced its 2025 Show Ambassadors. The announcement, held amidst the elegance
of the Fine Arts Pavilion, featured a community morning tea and was elegantly hosted by Beaudesert Show
Ambassador Alumni Sarah Macginley & Show Ambassador Coordinator, Tim Andrews.


The morning tea was a hit, drawing over 40 enthusiastic community members, including notable figures like
Queensland Ag Show President David Wilson, a number of Beaudesert Show Society Executive and
Management Committee members, Stewards, and local leaders Cr Jennifer Sanders and Cr Kerri Cryer.
Show Ambassador alumni joined in the celebration alongside the families of the vibrant young entrants.
Tim Andrews, Show Ambassador Coordinator, expressed gratitude to the event’s esteemed sponsors and
supporters: Franklin Constructions, Jones & Co IGA Beaudesert, Beaudesert Newsagent, Wrights Jewellers,
Backroads Beaudesert, Jessar Creations, and Fragrance in a Flower. Their unwavering support is
instrumental in driving the success of this community-focused event.


The Ambassador movement by the Beaudesert Show Society holds a special place as it celebrates and
nurtures the vital role of the next generation in the rural workforce and agricultural show circuit. Mr
Andrews lauded the exceptional quality of this year’s entrants, which provided the judges with a delightful
challenge.


In the running for the 2025 Rural Ambassador title was Sally Rodwell, while hopefuls for Showgirl included
Gabriella Lawrence, Elizabeth Scott, and Poppy Todd. A lively group competed for the Junior Ambassador
title, including Alex Buchanan, Caine Bennett, Sophie Ward, Typhoon le Garde, and Delilah Brook.
The results were: Poppy Todd claimed the 2025 Showgirl crown, with a tie for Runner-up between Gabriella
Lawrence and Elizabeth Scott. Sally Rodwell shone as the 2025 Rural Ambassador. In the Junior Show
Ambassador category, Delilah Brook was celebrated as the winner, with Alex Buchanan securing his spot as
Runner-up.


These outstanding young leaders will grace various community events across the Beaudesert and Scenic Rim
and play key roles at the Beaudesert Show on September 5th and 6th.
