The Beaudesert Showgrounds came alive on Saturday afternoon as families, friends, volunteers and community supporters gathered for Boots, Bales & Burgers, the official announcement of the 2026 Beaudesert Show Society Ambassadors.
Following a full morning of interviews, the Fine Arts Pavilion was transformed into a relaxed community celebration featuring live music, country hospitality and plenty of encouragement for the 11 young people who participated in this year’s program. The afternoon provided an opportunity for each entrant to speak publicly, share their personality and demonstrate their connection to the Beaudesert Show, agriculture and the wider Scenic Rim community.
Beaudesert Show Ambassador Coordinator Tim Andrews said the wonderful community turnout made the occasion particularly special.
“The support shown to our entrants was absolutely tremendous. The pavilion was filled with their families, friends, Show Society members, volunteers, past ambassadors and members of the wider community who had come along to celebrate them,” Mr Andrews said.
“Every one of our entrants should be incredibly proud. It takes courage to put your hand up, face an interview panel and speak in front of a crowd. They represented themselves, their families and the Beaudesert Show Society exceptionally well.”
The 2026 Junior Ambassador entrants were Ollie Daniels, Caine Bennett, Alex Buchanan, Alyssia Probert and Taleisha Ludwig. Alex Buchanan was announced as the 2026 Junior Ambassador, with Taleisha Ludwig named Runner-up.
The 2026 Showgirl entrants were Sophie Ward, Lizzy Scott, Katrina Utting and Tiffany Chase. Katrina Utting was announced as the 2026 Beaudesert Showgirl, with Sophie Ward named Runner-up.
The 2026 Rural Ambassador entrants wereTiffany Chase, Kaitlyn Blake and Gabriella Lawrence. Kaitlyn Blake was announced as the 2026 Beaudesert Rural Ambassador, with Gabriella Lawrence named Runner-up.
Mr Andrews said the judges faced the difficult task of selecting the successful ambassadors from an impressive and diverse field.
“The Ambassador Program is not about finding someone with the perfect answer. It is about recognising community spirit, communication, leadership potential, agricultural awareness and a genuine willingness to represent something bigger than yourself,” he said.
“We are incredibly fortunate to have such a strong group of young people involved this year, and all 11 entrants will remain an important part of our Ambassador family as we head towards the Beaudesert Show in September.”
The Beaudesert Show Society extended its sincere appreciation to the program’s sponsors and supporters, including Franklin Constructions, Jones & Co IGA Beaudesert, the Desert Skin & Beauty, Backroads Beaudesert, Leon & Gaye Blank and Fragrance in a Flower, whose generosity continues to make the Ambassador Program possible.
Special thanks were also extended to the volunteers from the Beaudesert Rotary Club, who fired up the much-loved Rotary Van and kept guests well fed throughout the afternoon. Their friendly service and continued support added greatly to the warm community atmosphere.
Local musician Annabelle Johnson provided the soundtrack to the celebration, entertaining guests with her musical stylings as families enjoyed burgers, photographs and the opportunity to congratulate the entrants.
“The combination of our wonderful entrants, the Rotary volunteers, Annabelle’s music and such a supportive crowd created exactly the sort of afternoon we hoped for,” Mr Andrews said.
“It was relaxed, welcoming and unmistakably Beaudesert—a community coming together to support its young people.”
The 2026 Ambassadors and their fellow entrants will take part in community activities in the lead-up to the Beaudesert Show and will play an active role across both days of the Show in September.
