Companion Card Rules

The Companion Card is not a new responsibility; nor is it a benefit or a discount scheme. It simply ensures that people who are unable to attend venues and events without a companion to provide attendant care support, are not charged two admission fees. Responsible use of your Companion Card will ensure that organisations continue to participate in the program.

You must only use your Companion Card if you are unable to participate at a particular venue or event without attendant care support; not only for reassurance or social support. If you have previously attended an activity independently, this arrangement should continue.

ENTERING THE BEAUDESERT SHOW: You are required to present your Companion Card when you are purchasing your ticket. Organisations that accept the Companion Card will require you to pay only for your own ticket.  A second ticket will NOT BE ISSUED for your companion.   You are required to keep the card in view at all times for security purpose and proof of entry, your companion must remain with you during the event.

Only the person whose photograph and name appear on the card can use the Companion Card.

You will be required to show your Companion Card when purchasing your ticket, or at any time during your attendance at a venue or activity.  If you cannot present your card, you may be charged for the Companion Ticket. The Companion Ticket is not valid unless the cardholder is present.

Misuse of your Companion Card will be reported and can lead to card cancellation

Show FAQ

How much are tickets, and can I buy them on the day?

Gate Passes are available at the Gate on the day. We have a range of options available for adults, children, students and pensioners. See our Show Info page for details:
https://www.beaudesertshow.org.au/show-info

Where do we park and what gates are open?

Gates open at 8am.

Parking on the grounds is $5, entry via Gate 3 (Albert Street) or Gate 6 (Jane Street). See our Map for parking locations: https://www.beaudesertshow.org.au/map/

Disability Parking Spaces are available at Gate 3, you can wait at the front of the circus for the free train to take you through the grounds.

Better safe than sorry – we encourage you to lock your car, conceal and secure valuables

When are the fireworks?

See our What’s On page for approx times: https://www.beaudesertshow.org.au/whats-on/

Can I leave the show and come back later?

Yes. Your gate pass is a wristband, it allows you to come and go as much as you want, for the day you bought your pass. So you can come early, then go home for a break, and come back later.

Please note: Parking in the grounds is limited and cannot be reserved. Please see the gate attendant as you exit to request re-entry, and if there is space available when you return they will help you out.

What time are the competitions (Wood Chop, Horses, Show Jumping, etc)?

See our What’s On page for approx times: https://www.beaudesertshow.org.au/whats-on/

Please note that times are approximate only, and subject to alteration.

Horse events start at the beginning of the day, and run throughout the day. Unfortunately we can’t give times for specific events, as there are many variables involved – eg. how many entrants there are in each event.

Show Jumping is on all day both days in the main ring.

What times do the pavilions open and close?
Pavilions are open when gates open at 8am. Trade stalls usually start winding down between 7-8pm.
Is there an ATM on the showgrounds?

There is an ATM available at show time, you can find it next to the Cookery Pavilion. See the map here https://www.beaudesertshow.org.au/map/

Can I bring my pet?
No pets allowed. Service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are permitted.
What Show Bags are available?
Our Show Bag vendor brings a variety of different show bags each year. Visit the Show Bag stall at the show to see all the options.
Is there a mother's room?
Yes, it is located at the end of the Drynan pavilion, near the toilets.
Is there a cloak room?

Sorry, we do not have a cloak room.
